Wildest Dreams Press is a Black woman-owned publishing house/bookstore/literary collective in South Central, Los Angeles. Her business reflects diversity, equity, and high-quality craft, and it was my task to develop a brand and logo that reflected those values as well.
The primary and secondary logos were inspired by combining the complexity of the sunbird and traditional African tapestries. Using a minimalistic and geometric approach, the logo embodies a sophisticated and modern feel.
The pattern reflects the complexity and geometric designs of traditional African tapestries. The shapes in the pattern are all taken from the logo, making it easy to integrate with the branding.
Nunito is a rounded, easy-to-read typeface that complements Jost’s sharp edges. It is perfect for body text and can be used as a subheader under a main header.
Jost is a clean, crisp font that is perfect for headers. Its simplicity makes it extremely versatile, and can be used as a MAIN HEADER or Secondary Header.
Wildest Dreams Press' stance for equality, representation, and high-quality craft is reflected throughout their branding and application. To establish a consistent voice and style, I developed thorough brand guidelines for my client.
